Throughout US history the Presidential Election has been decided not by the popular vote but a crazy thing we call the Electoral College. The Electoral College is not a school for electricians but a group of people that represent the American population’s votes in the US Presidential Elections. In today’s day and age many believe that the Electoral College is an unfair and undemocratic system. So, in this video we go over the problems with the Electoral College, the difference between the popular vote and Electoral College vote, and what swing states are and why they are simply how elections work.
